With roots in cattle farming and butchery spanning three generations and dating back to the 1920’s, Georgina started her experience at an early age.
Under the guidance of her father, Hans Jeurissen who ran a herd numbering 3500 head of commercial beef cattle cattle on his farms in Dwaalboom, an intense passion was nurtured. Today Rising Sun Wagyu is an inspiration and example of how you can start from small, but well researched beginnings to grow your Wagyu herd into a noticeable, profitable business with sound genetics as the imperative factor. Rising Sun is proud to have Wagyu Sekai, Incorporated, Canada, as our partner. Wagyu Sekai is one of the oldest Wagyu studs outside Japan. Currently, we are establishing a pool of genetics in South Africa which is unsurpassed. Breeders will be able to obtain embryos and semen from some of the best bloodlines across the globe. Georgina welcomes you to share in their knowledge and experience by visiting not only this website, but to join us for a visit at the embryo station and don’t miss our annual open days where we and other industry professionals heartedly share our passion for the Wagyu breed.
